Report just reaching us reveal that some workers of the nation’s
electricity company, Power Holding Company of Nigeria, PHCN, are
presently staging a peaceful protest in Lagos.
It was gathered that the aggrieved staff of PHCN are protesting the non-payment of their salaries by the management despite plans by the government to handover the company to its new investors who will now run the electricity company.
The PHCN workers, as at the time of filing this report, are at the Lagos State Secretariat, Alausa, Ikeja.
They are demanding for the payment of their salaries before the take-over.
